PLACE: Raigad Fort

EVS is a compulsory subject mentioned in syllabus as per Savitribai Phule Pune University. The complete course include

Total 62 students of B.pharm second year(IIIrdsem) along with Trip organizer Dr. Swapnil Seth and Two staff of EAST (Environmental action for Sustainable Transformation) organization, Two non teaching staff, Mr. Tanaji Bothre, Mr. Ajay and Two teaching staffMr. VijayYelwantage, (class teacher B.Pharm second year) Ms.Rutuja Ingale from Alard College of Pharmacy visited Raigad Fort for study of wild life sanctuary found in Raigad fort.

Students gathered in college at 6.00 am .Educational field visit journey started at 6:15 amExpert Dr. Swapnil Set from EAST organization gave very important information about Raigad Fort .The Raigad Fort was built by Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharashtra and the chief architect/engineer was Hiroji Indulkar. The population of tribal community in Raigad district is more.Tribal are socially ,economically and educationally backward and are totally dependent on forest for food,shelter and medicine.They use a number tubers,wild vegetables and wild fruit as food stuff in their regular diet. Student studied rare medicinal plants found at Raigad Fort.

Students were asked to prepare Field visit report of Raigad fort.students were returned to Alard college campus with all staff at 10:30pm

The field work reports were collected from students and assessed marks were included in ISCA marks.

PLACE: Mulshi

Fifty four students of B.pharm first year (II sem) along with Trip organizer Dr. Swapnil Seth and Two staff of EAST (Environmental action for Sustainable Transformation) organization, Two non teaching staff, Mr. Tanaji Bothre, Mrs. Mangal Kumbhar and Ms. Anjali Kide, class teacher B.Pharm first year from Alard College of Pharmacy visited Mulashi Area for study of Floura and founa found in Mulashi area on 24th Feb 2019.

Expert Dr. Swapnil Set from EAST organization gave very important information about Establishment of Devarai, medicinal plants found in devrai, Living of Tribal people and how they survive on the basis of Nature in the absence of modern facilities, Wildlife Sanctuary of Tamhini Ghat and animals present in this sanctuary, Rare medicinal plants found in Mulshi area, etc

Students were asked to prepare Field visit report by observing ecosystem found in Mulshi Lake area

Snake show was also organized for understanding of role of snakes in ecosystem of environment.

After snake show, students were returned to Alard college campus with all staff.

The field work reports were collected from students and assessed marks were included in ISCA marks.
