Yoga Day Celebration

National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Alard College of Pharmacy (ACP) is an active social service group that functions with an aim to develop the personality of the students through social service programmes in the community of Marunji and society at large. The primary objective of this unit is to benefit the community by providing selfless service in terms of health, hygiene, social issues sensitization and service rendered during national calamities like Floods, earthquakes etc. The NSS unit of ACP also takes part in the annual special camp organized by the university wherein they learn to co-ordinate, bond and serve the community in groups. Students enhance their team work building capacity, organizational skills and standing up to challenges in adversity.

The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are:

  • To enable the students to understand the community in which they work
  • To understand themselves in relation to their community
  • To identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem solving process
  • To develop competence required for group living and sharing responsibilities.
  • To acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.
  • To encourage national integration and develop the capacity to meet emergencies and national disasters

  • Flood Relief campaignss


NSS unit successfully run the flood relief campaign for victims of Kerala Floods and contributed supplies and medicines.

Students carried out Tree Plantation Program to landscape the medicinal garden.

NSS unit organized Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Red Plus Blood Bank

Alard college of pharmacy students had participated in various online “COVID 19 QUIZ Awareness Sessions.” organized by various institutes/Organizations. This will help the students in this difficult situation arising out of suspension of physical reaching due to Covid 19 and will create a ‘work from home’ opportunity along with social responsibility in creating awareness about COVID 19.

Alard College of pharmacy NSS Volunteers has made effort to create awareness on COVID 19 by preparing posters, paintings etc.

>To avoid rapid spread of Corona virus and to ensure individuals personal health, Local MLA Mr. Laxman Jagtap had organized free health checkup camp in Thergaon. Team of Specialist Doctors and Pharmacist had done the check up in dispensary van and distributed medicines to patients’. Our B. Pharmacy third year student Tirupati Jadhav became part of this free health check up camp.

Ms. Shradha Shankerpelli and Ghodekar Shrutika from third year B. Pharmacy had participated in national level e-poster competition held by R. C. Patel Institute of education and research, Shirpur, District Dhule, M.S. 425 405.

Volunteers were also participated in family survey of neighbor families, they have checked neighbor’s for any illness, requirement of medicines etc.

NSS volunteers from Alard College of Pharmacy were participated in various activities like Tree Plantation, Cleanliness campaign, Family survey conducted under SPPU NSS VARI 2020 on 29th june to 6th july 2020. NSS Volunteers were participated in these activities during lockdown period from their places by following social distance and done activities.

On 15th August 2020 Independence Day event was organized in the college premises. The National flag was hoisted and later sweets were distributed for the occasion for the volunteers and the teachers.
